Any Australian accessories lover who shopped in the early-mid 2010s is undoubtedly aware of the Mim Pouch’s impact. In fact, in the lead up to this extremely exciting re-launch, our head office team has been abuzz with the nostalgia tied to this iconic, pint-sized piece. It was a clutch for the club, a place to stash all your most important must-haves, and for many Mim-lovers, a gotta-catch-them-all collectible. Over the past few years, its former fans, the likes of whom includes powerhouse Australian entrepreneur and influencer Brittney Saunders, have even created organic content on social media reminiscing on the pouch’s reign — patiently awaiting its return.
The Mim Pouch’s earliest iteration dates back to our 2007 and 2008 collections. From its inception, a circular shape has played an important role in our hardware designs, reflecting the iconic button motif that is strongly associated with the brand.
Over the years, it has evolved continually — re-designed with flatter hardware, leather and glitter inlay, in smaller sizes, enamelled — but this time returns in its purest and most beloved form, complete with powder coated finishing on the hardware badge, a key component of many of our treasured archival pieces.
An indispensable addition to our leather assortment over the past three decades, Mim Pouches maximise leather usage and minimise waste, all the while offering an accessible entry price point item that still feels distinctly Mimco to our amazing community.
The pouch has been produced in different sizes and constructions throughout the years, but our 2026 version is 100% true to its original design — iconic then, iconic now.
